I’ll never forget when I received this sweet couple’s initial inquiry for their wedding photography and how it felt like I had known Sara and Warren for years already. The fact we share the same name(s) made for a fun icebreaker! Besides the bride-to-be and I sharing the same first name (add/take away the H) her fiance's name is the same as my Grandfather’s (Warren) and his nickname since birth is Duke!
Together, Sara and Duke give a whole new meaning to the term, High School Sweetheart. In fact, their roots extend all the way back to their pre-kindergarten days together at Bellevue Elementary School! So meeting them for the first half of their engagement session here was perfect. The trees were all changing to gorgeous yellow and orange tones, and I enjoyed watching Sara and Duke recount together the memories they had made as we walked their old stomping grounds. Their friendship genuinely stood the test of time, as the two remained friends throughout grade school… even staying in touch when Sara relocated out of state for four years.
I am so excited for their September 2020 wedding and celebrating with Sara and Duke as they enter the next milestone in their lives together. Enjoy some of my favorites from our time together! <3
